The Double Road Race is a two stage race. Runners first run the 10k leg, then take a halftime and finish with the 5k leg (which starts 1:45 after the start of the 10k leg). Tyler ran his first leg in 30:16 (15 seconds ahead of Fernando Cabada's time he ran in Pleasanton Dec 23, 2012). He felt he can get the record and he did. He ran 14:58 for the 5k leg. He beat Fernando's record by 19 seconds. Tyler ran 45:15. Comments Tyler is in top form. He made it look easy when he set the world record in Overland Park June 30th at the Double Road Race.
